As president of Calvary Lutheran Church of Willmar, I was totally involved in the sale of the 400+ acres of gifted farmland given to our church by a congregant member. I worked closely with Glen and Kristine from the initial auctioneer company selection process through the auction sale itself and the culminating closing. Calvary’s Executive Committee interviewed three major land auction companies with Fladeboe Land being one of the three. Fladeboe’s clearly exhibited the highest level of confidence for our land sale, to the point of differentiating themselves from their competitors. Glen and Kristine convinced our committee that using the “buyer’s premium” would not adversely diminish the sale price of the land which, in the end, saved Calvary an exceptional amount of money compared to the other two companies interviewed. Fladeboe’s exceptional marketing effort yielded actual registered bidders that were more than double the participants we were expecting, with the vast majority present in-person for the auction. Personally witnessing the auction process solidified the expectations that I and Calvary had for Fladeboe Land as their team was able to sell our land for a record price per acre for our area.
