We recently completed an eleven county, three year farmland sale price study. We’re pleased to share the results with you. The information is posted below. The study confirmed that sale prices have risen greatly in recent years and remain very strong at this time.

2022 was a very active year for farmland sales. Strong buyer interest resulted in historically high sale prices for high quality farmland. We are pleased to report that all auction parcels offered in 2022 successfully sold through the auction process. Many buyers continue to bid at the live auction, while the number of online bidders has grown. Privately negotiated sales also remain active. We’re grateful for another successful year in farmland sales. E ven though 2019 will go down in history as one of the most challenging years for the farming industry, the demand for farmland has remained strong and the prices have remained steady. Overall, we don’t anticipate significant changes in farmland prices in the near future. We recognize the strength it takes to be a farmer and realize all of the dedication and hard work that goes into a successful farming operation. Fall Greetings;

We are excited to present the following lineup of quality farmland auctions and listings highlighted below. We also are pleased to offer lots located on or near Long Lake (Willmar) including an 8 acre point surrounded by water. These lots will be up for auction on Tuesday, October 15th.

We are aware this fall has brought extreme challenges to the farmers thus far. Because of this we reflect on how farmers and investors evaluate farmland. Our business is interesting as 2+ years ago the first question we would be asked when people called on a farm is how high the soil quality was (crop production index number). Now the first question we are asked is how much tile farms have and if there is a good outlet for drainage. With a few wet years, it has brought greater attention to the need for drainage. Proper drainage will bring maximum yields and selling prices.
